Celebrating the Heart of Our Community: Volunteers
“The most valuable gift you can give, aside from your love, is your time.”
These awards celebrate people who have shown long-term commitment and dedication to community service. Youth (24 and under) are recognized for two or more years of continuous service, while adults are honoured for five to 65 years with a single organization.
This year’s recipients represent a combined 3,082 years of volunteer service, an extraordinary testament to the generosity and spirit of our community.
From the Royal Canadian Legion to Girl Guides, cultural groups to community sports, volunteers are the quiet force that make Orléans such a vibrant and welcoming place. They coach our kids, care for our neighbours and bring people together.
Ontario offers many ways to recognize outstanding volunteerism. If you know someone who is making a difference, consider nominating them for a future award because strong communities are built by people who show up and give back.
