“Let me be clear: I’m not against Ontario’s one fare program, but what I cannot support is Ottawa taxpayers footing the bill for transit in Toronto and getting absolutely nothing in return.

In 2022, an adult OC Transpo fare was $3.70 and an adult monthly pass was $125.50. Today, that same ride now costs $4.10 (11% increase) and that same monthly pass costs $138.50 (10.5% increase). What do Ottawa residents get with these increased fares? Less buses, less reliability, less safety, more delays and more overcrowding.

Ottawa families shouldn’t have to pay more for worsening transit services.”
