MPP Blais asks the Premier how long he will defend the Minister of Labour who has admitted to interfering in the allocation of skills development funding.
It's been revealed that many recipients of the funding hired lobbyists with close ties to the government, having made tens of thousands of dollars of donations to the Government party.
The Auditor General found that 54% of the applications selected by the Minister's Office and approved for funding were ranked as "Poor", "Low" or "Medium" against the objectives of the program. These choices received $742 million. There were 670 applications that ranked "High" and were not selected for fiunding.
