MPP Stephen Blais discusses the scourge of drinking and driving while debating the Ford government’s Bill 75, their so-called tough on crime legislation. Despite many recent tragedies and the government’s commitment to take action, their legislation doesn’t have any provisions around drinking and driving.

April 8th, 2026 - MPP Blais asks the Government why is tough on crime rhetoric doesn't live up to its weak actions on dealing with impaired driving.

April 14th, 2026, MPP Blais provided notice of dissatisfaction with the answer to his questions related to Drinking and Driving which forces a short debate called a Late Show. The Ford Government talks tough but is doing little to keep drunk drivers from driving through our neighbourhoods after they've been caught.
