100 years of the Royal Canadian Legion 🍁

July 17th, 2026, marks the 100th year anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.

On July 17th, we celebrated 100 years of the Royal Canadian Legion. It was on July 17th, 1926, that the Legion was officially incorporated by a special Act of Parliament.

For an entire century, The Royal Canadian Legion has stood proudly alongside active members, veterans and their families, strengthened communities, and ensured that the tremendous dedication and sacrifices of those who served and continue to serve our beautiful country are always remembered and honoured.

Orléans is home to one of the largest concentrations of active Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and military families in the country.

I’m especially grateful to the wonderful members and volunteers of the Royal Canadian Legion - Orléans 632 for the key role they play in supporting, honouring and advocating for active members, veterans, their families and our community.

Congratulations on this remarkable milestone, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for a century of continued service to our country.
