The Province of Ontario matched the City of Ottawa’s contribution committing 22 million to construct the Hunt Club road and HWY 417 interchange.
“The interchange represents a step forward in providing much needed transportation corridors for the commuters of Orléans,” says Blais.
Identified in the City’s Transportation Master Plan, Phase Three of the Innes Walkley Hunt Club Connection will see the roadway extended to Innes Road east of the Blackburn Bypass.
“With the Environmental Assessment of the HWY 174 moving forward the residents of Cumberland will benefit from a number of long term roadway infrastructure investments,” added Blais.
The City of Ottawa has worked on the project alongside the Province and the NCC since 2004.
