Stephen is pleased to welcome the arrival of two new businesses to Cumberland Ward in Orléans.

“It’s very exciting to see the continuous growth of the economy in Orléans and especially in Cumberland Ward,” says Cumberland City Councillor Stephen Blais. “The City’s investments in infrastructure in Orléans and our commitment to stable tax changes is encouraging entrepreneurs to open businesses in our community.”

The Remedy’sRx Tenth Line Pharmacy and Compounding Centre first opened on January 3rd and business has been quickly expanding. This store, located in at the Shops of Tenth Line at Brian Coburn Boulevard is unique in that it is the only compounding pharmacy in Orléans. Compounding medications entails preparing personalized medications for patients with the exact strength and dosage that they need.

“It is our hope to provide the residents of Orleans and surrounding areas with professional, competent and efficient service for their compounding and pharmaceutical needs” says Rahim Mussani, Pharmacist and owner. “Our patients will always be our number one priority.”

Meanwhile, Marshalls recently opened in the new plaza at the corner of Innes Rd and Mer Bleue Rd. With more than 23,000 square feet of new retail space Marshall’s will fill 40 full-time and over 20 part-time positions once fully staffed.

“It’s great to finally have a Marshalls in Orléans,” adds Blais. “Instead of driving all the way to Train Yards we’ll be able to do more of our shopping closer to home.”
