Councillor Stephen Blais served breakfast to customers at McDonalds today to raise funds in support of Ottawa children in need.
“It is rewarding to participate with local businesses and community leaders and give back to the community,” says Blais. “This is McDonald’s hallmark charity event, which directly benefits families in our city. I am happy to be a part of it.”
McHappy Day in Ottawa contributes one dollar from the sale of every coffee, Happy Meal and Big Mac sandwich sold at McDonalds’ restaurants to Ottawa’s Ronald McDonald House as well as CHEO.
Since 1977, McHappy Day has raised more than $31 million for Canadian children’s charities.
