Cumberland Councillor Stephen Blais and local residents marked the opening of a new splash pad at Provence Park with a friendly water fight.
“What better way to celebrate the summer holidays than with the opening of a new splash pad,” says Blais. “The splash pad marks the final stage of Provence Park and compliments an already fantastic recreational space.”
As well as the new splash pad, Provence Park, with a budget of nearly $800,000, includes full sized and mini soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, play structures and a sliding hill and puddle rink in the winter.
“Notting Hill is a growing community with young families with new neighbours moving in every day,” adds Blais. “The splash pad will help local residents beat the summer heat and will become a meeting place for new neighbours to get to know each other.”
