Peter Clark portrait

Cumberland Councillor Stephen Blais recently hung Rideau-Rockcliffe Councillor Peter Clark at the Orléans Client Service Centre.

Blais was recently at the City of Ottawa’s art bank and came across an old portrait of Peter Clark who is a former Regional Chair and former Mayor of Cumberland.

“The portrait was sitting in storage,” says Blais. “Given everything Peter did for our community I thought it deserved to be on display.”

The portrait of Peter Clark was hung on the second floor of the former Cumberland Town Hall which now serves as the Orléans Client Service Centre.

“Peter has played an important part of building the Orléans and Cumberland communities we enjoy today,” adds Blais. “He was Mayor when Cumberland was the fastest growing municipality in Canada and much of what he worked on then we enjoy now.”
