Maple Grove, a lasting legacy
Cumberland Ward City Councillor and environmental steward Stephen Blais is happy to announce the Canada 150 Maple Groves project, which has planted 150 trees at Aquaview Park near the Avalon Pond in Orléans.
“I’m thrilled to see that we are able to make this significant environmental contribution,” says Blais. “It’s an investment that will be paying off for many years to come.”

Following the public meeting in March staff at the City of Ottawa have been working hard to take into account the array of feedback we received, particularly the concerns raised by residents who front onto Gardenway.
Local sports facility gets two defibrillators
Cumberland City Councillor and amateur sports champion Stephen Blais has secured the
Installation of two automated external defribillators (AED) at Millennium Park in time for the new upcoming summer sports season.
“I am incredibly happy to bring these two AEDs to Millennium Park,” says Councillor Stephen Blais. “These devices can save lives, and that’s something I know first-hand.”
Cumberland Ward communities participate in Cleaning the Capital
Cumberland City Councillor and environmental steward Stephen Blais joined hundreds of volunteers in Navan and Chaperal as part of the City of Ottawa’s GLAD Cleaning the Capital.
“Volunteerism is an important component to help keep a community strong and vibrant for families,” said Councillor Stephen Blais. “I would like to thank and recognize the tremendous work these volunteers did to help clean-up our community.”
